  • - Visited Bandera & 1604 store for arch-support cushions.
  • - Husband had plantar fasciitis and relief came after Ideal Feet.

Went to their new store off of Bandera &; 1604 to pick up new cushions to go over my arch supports. I have had their arch supports for years and I'm a hairdresser that stands all day.

My feet never hurt. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for comfort. They are very knowledgeable about which support fits your feet the best. I have recommended them over the years to friends and family.

My husband had been to 3 doctors with planters faciitis and even the wax that form to your feet did not work.

he wasn't out of pain until we found Ideal Feet!! I am a very happy customer.Happy

AI Highlights
  • - Purchased inserts years ago for about $400-500.
  • - I was promised a lifetime guarantee to refit them, but the store is closed.

I purchased my inserts many years ago. I was skeptical that they would work but I was assured that my $400-500 (I don't remember anymore but know it was at least $400) have a lifetime guarantee that they would always refit when needed.

I asked what happens if they go out of business and they said they wouldn't. So today I was going to go there because I need my inserts changed and looked to make sure they hadn't moved locations and found out they're closed. So $400-500 has been wasted and the lifetime guarantee really meant for the lifetime of the store not for the lifetime of my inserts.

Such a shame. But I guess you live and learn right.

Ideal Feet Tulsa OK

AI Highlights
  • - Purchased inserts with a lifetime guarantee at Tulsa store on 61st and Mingo.
  • - We seek upgrade and refund options and plan to contact the home office.

Purchased inserts, lifetime guarantee at the Tulsa, OK store on 61st and Mingo. Went by Tulsa store today and found out they are closed with no working numbers posted in the window.

What do we do from here? Is there another location we can go to for the upgrade or our monies back? This is very poor customer service. Was the lifetime guarantee just a set up to take our money or do we still have some sort of recourse?

I'll try the home office to see if we can get them to Honor their guarantee or we'll request our money back. We'll see what happens.

Not honoring lifetime free adjustments on lifetime guaranteed products

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Bought 2 inserts for $480.55 in Feb 2013; lifetime guarantee promised free adjustments.
  • - Arlington closed; readjustment would require other locations.

I heard about Ideal Feet on the radio, KRLD 1080. The ad indicated how great the company is and how they take care of customers.

I decided to take the time to write this because I have tried to communicate (phone and email), and I am not getting the results. I cannot seem to get someone at Ideal Feet to pick up the phone and call me. So I am sorry, but this appears to be the only option I have.

I bought $480.55 worth of 2 pairs of inserts in Feb 2013. By Jun 2013 my feet were hurting and they adjusted and provided a new set. I was told when the feet start hurting, it means, most likely, an adjustment is needed. My receipt says “Free adjustments for life on lifetime guaranteed products.” Obviously it was changed once, therefore they are guaranteed and more importantly free adjustments made.

Because my feet are hurting again, I wanted to be retested On Mon, Nov 17, but when I called the Arlington, Texas store, I discovered it is closed. I tried on numerous occasions since Nov 17 and at different times, to call to speak to someone, no results. It is as if there is no such company. I sent an email and a Andy House (per Linkedin, he appears to be the Director of Operations), replied and wrote what is below. When I replied he never answered me, and after two resends he replied. I sent him asking how I can be readjusted, since I bought them and paid almost $500 so I can be retested, I am now told they can just replace but not readjust. That is not what I was sold, that is not what I believe I require, based on my experience June 2013 when they retested and provided new inserts.

Andy wrote… "Each store is independently owned and operated. Not all stores offer the same features, discounts, guarantees, etc. as stated on the website. We have no further affiliation with any store that is closed . If your wishing an adjustment we can put you in touch with other locations in operation. As stated earlier you would have to follow the guarantees and offers of that location."

This company must be going out of business or they don’t care about the many customers who purchased lifetime adjustment products in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We need a better solution than sending the insets via mail and getting the same fit back instead of a readjustment. Also I was told never to take them off, if I send the pairs in, then what do I wear? Obviously none of these is of concern to the gentleman I have been trying to communicate with and he also does not appear to want to pick up the phone and call me. I have provided my cell phone # in the email.

I believe the product has worked for me. But if I cannot get life time help from Ideal Feet then I will need to go to someone else. I want my money refunded if I cannot be retested and readjusted w/in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Driving 4.5 hours to Tulsa, OK or 5 hours to San Antonio, TX is not acceptable.

I would like this resolved ASAP to my satisfaction. Until I get the result I desire, I will keep writing blogs, open a BBB compliant, and also call KRLD 1080 who carried your ad.

Lifetime warranty no good if store closes

AI Highlights
  • - Inserts had a warranty for larger sizes; purchased at the Tulsa, Oklahoma store.
  • - See an orthopedist or podiatrist instead of a salesman.

My granddaughter is a twin and was born with clubbed feet, due to crowding. She over- pronates when she walks.

Inserts were purchased, and came with a guarantee that larger ones would be provided as her feet grew larger.

Since then, the store has closed, and we cannot get larger ones. These inserts were purchased at the store located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I would advise anyone who has need of inserts to see an orthopedist or a podiatrist, rather than a salesman.

At least you would have some assurance that the business will not close, rendering your "warranty" worthless. Lesson learned!

Helped less and less.

The store was clearing out had less stuff. So I wondered if this was going to happen.

Ankle issues from orthotics sold by ideal feet

AI Highlights
  • - Fitted at Houston store 2 years ago; refits multiple times.
  • - Experiencing ankle swelling and pain; doctors discuss ankle replacement; former ballerina.

My husband and I were fitted at the houston Store 2 years ago.I since then have gone back at least or 5 time to be refitted, Oh they were very pleasant how ever i had swelling and pain starting in my ankles. I am a former ballerina and I know pain BUT I believe this was the start of ankle issues for me. I have talked to several orthopedics and the are talkinig ankle replacement. I am now on steroids shots to keep me going to teach ballet, my livelyhood.

Just today I went to the Houston/ Westhiemer location and it was closed. There are no other locations open to talk about my ankle problems and not being able to waer the inserts.

These people are slick thieves and I am with you on a class action suit and have doctors to back me up both here and Oklahoma on my ankle issues.

They have made a fortune on charging exorbortent prices for inferior products that injure people or cause issues on joints.

Store closed. No money back, no service, no warranty

AI Highlights
  • - Purchased Ideal Feet from the Houston Store two months ago.
  • - Store closed at refit; no refunds, warranty, or recourse; corporate offers no help.

We purchased Ideal Feet products two months ago from the Houston Store. We went back three weeks ago for our scheduled refitting and the store was closed.

After several attempts to contact someone we finally received an email from the corporate office that said that they only license the products and that each store is independently operated and they have no affiliation with the store once it closes. We get no money back, no warranty, no refitting, nothing. Do not do business with these people. We spent $500.00 and have no recourse.

The corporate office offers no help and no advice on what to do. I would never recommend the store or product to anyone

Just drove 1 1/2 hours to Houston Westheimer Ideal Feet Store only to see a small piece of paper on door saying they were kicked out for not paying their rent. They are out of business?

Convenient since my husband and I both spent together around $1200 about 6 months ago.

I believe the company is always responsible for the produce and if anyone else wants to join in a lawsuit. Let me know.

AI Highlights
  • - Bought inserts for $260 for left-foot pain.
  • - Returned within 24 hours; manager refused.
  • - Inserts caused pain; receipt shows no refunds.

I purchased inserts from Ideal Feet for $260 on 10-03-11 because my left foot was hurting. I tried to return them in less than 24 hours and Fred the manager said no way.

The inserts was in original condition when I took them back. The reason for the return was the left foot hurt more and the right foot started to hurt after 4 hours of wearing the inserts. Fred wanted to make adjustments and the receipt had no refunds on it. Never once do they mention to you all sales are final.

Beware of these *** artists. The store is at Westhimer, Houston, Texas.

Nick, since I did the original post, I went to a Podiatrist who made plaster molds of my feet for custom inserts to install in the shoes. The exact custom fit worked perfectly.

No adjustments, no guess work by non professionals by you or your buddies at ideal feet. I got to keep the plaster molds in case I need to get additional inserts. Nick since you're on this site reading the post, answer this question. What professional training do you have?

Ideal feet offer the adjustments because they don't know what they're doing. They are non professional and doing guess work. I know a *** when I see one.

The plaster molds, inserts, xray, docter visit total 650 dollars. People who read these post, don't go to the quacks, use a professional.

Hey, Andy! You the same "Andy" on Ideal Feet's "Consumer Hotline"?

The voice on the voicemail that promises to call you back? The "Andy" that gives you the runaround about when or if you'll get your refund? Yeah, the store will tell you you'll get your money back after I talk to "Andy". When?

ALL of my money? In my lifetime?

ARE you that "Andy"! Ideal Feet = SCAM!!!

Guest

But Andy: You said that the refund policy was new (per a Better Business Bureau response you posted recently). Just instituted on March 5th of 2013, you said.

This guy's original complaint is from 2011. I'm confused. Or: maybe you're confused. If you're going to lie, keep your story straight.

Might want to take notes to refer back to later.

Guest

Please read these reviews and yes, this company needs to be put out of business. They never mentioned that there were no returns.

I know he didn't or I would have never purchased them. There is nothing in the receipts, etc. Now I'm stuck with a credit for $300 worth of tennis shoes!! Meanwhile, they just put those back into stock and will resell them yet again.

What a rip off company. No satisfaction guaranteed!

Guest

I manage an ideal feet store and we tell our customers two times in every presentation no money back guarantee only free adjustments and a couple mad customers does not make up for the tgousands of lives who have been changed

Guest

I fell for their carnival spill & voodoo ink & balance tests. Tried to sell me about $600 worth of foot insert supports & shoes.

I purchased the smaller inserts for $220, but they tried to tell me I also needed the larger ones for $280 more for long term results. The inserts I purchased hurt my feet more, so I stopped wearing them after a day or two and finally went to a Podiatrist and got a cortisone injection like I should have in the first place. Feel fine now. I think the inserts are very overpriced and a ripoff.

They take advantage of people who are desparate for some relief.

I do like their Brooks athletic shoes, though. Very comfortable and light weight.

Guest

My experience was that during my evaluation not once did anyone mention return policies, I wish someone would have told me 20 minutes. I was instructed and reassured that due to the moderate severity I should wear mine an hour.

I overheard another employee telling a different customer to wear them until they hurt, I asked her about it and was quickly dismissed. That was my red flag, which I ignored.

I too was bamboozled for hundreds of hard earned dollars. I hope others have a better experience.

Guest

I was going to try Ideal Feet to eliminate blisters I keep getting on the heal of my foot. Is it true they give NO refund?

Guest

So, you bought the inserts, wore them for 4 hours the first day and then tried to return them? Obviously, you didn't listen to the instructions.

Due to how dramatic the support is in regards to the support raising the arch, the first day instructions are to only wear them for 20 minutes and then increase by 20 minutes each day. It's no suprise you felt like they were not working after wearing them for 4 hours the first day.

As to the lack of refund, when I bought my inserts, the words "no refunds, only adjustments" were mentioned about 50 times. Given that tou missed the instructions, it's not suprising how this got by you as well.

Guest

Nick, I don't think you can read and understand. I will spell it out for you.

If you sell a product and all sales are final, you must tell the customer not hide it in the credit card receipt. How often do you see no refund written on a credit card receipt you have to sign. Nick, can you name a company or companies that practice such deception.

In all the documents Ideal Feet gave me not one of them state no refund. Nick, you may have $260 to throw out there without a warranty, but most people don't.

Guest

Hey, I don't understand why you are upset. The guy tried to help you with your problems and make adjustments yet you didn't allow him?

I can understand no refund, you wore them right!! I think your foot pain has fogged your integrity. You knew when you bought them that there was no refund so why are you complaining???

Where are your ethics dude. Or should I say only you think you are entitled to something when others aren't.

Ideal Feet supports are worthless

AI Highlights
  • - Ideal Feet arch supports do not work and refunds are not offered.
  • - The arch shift inflames the arch and does not ease heel pain.

Ideal Feet arch supports do not work, and the company does not want

to provide a refund. The deal is that they will take your money, and

that is the end of the deal. The little pieces of plastic that they

sell you might cost them $10, so that leaves them $390 profit. You can

almost tell from the constant radio advertisements that they are spending

a lot of money to sell their junk.

The arch support moves all of the weight from your heel onto the arch

in front of the heel. This portion of your foot was never intended to

support your weight. While this crude support does relieve the weight

from the heel, it is damaging to the rest of the foot.

Getting the weight off of the heel provides temporary relief to the plantar

problem, so while you are wearing the supports in the store for ten minutes

they seem to work. However, as you try to wear the supports for any length

of time, your arches become inflamed. The result is that your arch is sore

and your heel is not getting any better.

Ideal Feet obviously cannot offer a guarantee, because they know that there will never be any satisfied customers. They dont really care, because they have your money.

I understand that they might offer an in-store credit, but if the customer needed arch supports, they probably do not need running shoes.

The bottom line, from my viewpoint, is that Ideal Feet is a rip off. They have a trick balance demonstration, and they are never going to refund your money when you are not happy.

I went to the store in KY yesterday. When I heard the price of 400+ dollars I said forget it.

The manager said I could have them for $100. He showed me the product, but never showed me one that would work for me.

I left the store feeling like I'd just spoken to a *** artist. Very glad I read these comments before making an investment.

Guest

Went in and was "sold" on the benefits...after 5 days of shear pain up the legs and lower back couldn't hardly walk as the bottom of my feet were so tender! Went back, the man that sold them to me was MAD!

Wouldn't hardly talk, and the guarantee to remeasure and give me updates for life...he wouldn't even offer! What a scam!! Stay away from this store! Also told me that they sold their Brooks shoes at "their cost!" Paid $130 for a pair just to find out when I left thats the price at the shoe store...what, another lie!

This place is open for business to anyone as gullible as I was! Save your money!

Guest

Crazyinsky, keep trying for that refund. That's what I intend to do. I gave it an hones try and found the product unwearable and unbearable.

Guest

You are so very right about the product. It will bruise your foot.

I can't get past two hours on wearing them, and is all they want to do is say they are going to have to adjust them and will not give your money back.

The adjustments is part of what you pay for so they say.

I will keep trying to get my money back. :( :(

Ideal Feet- see a real doctor instead!

AI Highlights
  • - Wore Ideal Feet 2 yrs; feet worsened.
  • - Podiatrist diagnosed plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, inward roll; steroid shot; box insoles; feet improved.

I have been wearing products from ideal feet for amost 2 years and my feet have been getting steadily worse. I finally went to a poditrist and he was amazed and shocked that i had spent that much money on Ideal Feet "junk".

I have plantar facsitis, heel spurs and my foot rolls inward.

He x-rayed my feet, gave me a seroid& cortisone shot in heel and a pair of insoles out of a box and recommended new shoes ,exercises, ice and rest. He said he could make a pair of custom insoles (actually make a mold of your foot) for around $200.00 but thought the the $40 pair would work for me.

My insurance covered most of the cost and my feet are feeling sooo much better. Go see a real doctor to begin with (cause you will probably end up going to see one evenually) and you will save yourself a lot of money!

I saw multiple doctors, podiatrists and orthopedist who specialize in foot disorders. I had one choice, live with pain or have surgery.

They recommended their custom made inserts as a trial ($250-500) and MBT shoes. Neither worked well enough. Perhaps 20% max improvement with the MBTs ($225) - out of desperation, and before allowing the surgery and two + week of no work thereafter I went to Ideal Feet in Arlington Texas. They put in their supports and IMMEDIATELY I could walk around their store with at least 90- 95% less pain than I've had for the past few years.

I don't know if this will last, but for the first time in years I've been able to walk around all day today without excruciating pain and looking like a 90 year old ! I'm sure it won't work for everyone and probably won't work for me forever - but to be able to keep working without pain was well worth the $400 cost.

Guest

Sorry it didn't work for you. My husband was seeing a podiatrist and had the "custom made" insoles for $500.

The podiatrist also recommended SA shoes. My husband still had tremendous foot pain. They said he had neuropathy in his feet. The insoles from Ideal Feet have worked for him and he is able to walk the malls, park, etc.

with no foot pain. I thought it was a radio gimmick but I'm a true believer now. It has improved my husbands quality of life tenfold.

I, personally do not wear them as I feel, I do not need them. I hope you have gotten relief because if your discomfort is anything like my husbands' was, it must be very painful.

Stay far away from Ideal Feet!

If the orthotics from Ideal Feet don't work for you, you will not receive your money back! We're talking over $400!

Why take a chance? Ideal Feet does not use any medical professionals or anyone with a background in podiatry or orthopedics. Spend less than $50 and get orthotics from an Amazon store or some other source that will actually refund yr money if you're not satisfied. Oh, and, you should know: Ideal Feet resells their product!

Not only are you spending an arm and a leg, you may be getting used inserts! Disgusting!

I purchased a set of Ideal Feet inserts and after 1 week I am extremely satisfied with the results. I would take issue with this complaint, It was made very clear to me both verbally and in writing that I cannot return these inserts.

I don't understand why some people feel that they can break their word if the item doesn't meet their expectations.

I guess what I am saying is the Golden Rule is a very good thing to live your life by.

Guest

It's true that they do not give refunds, but they tell you that up front. I have been using their orthotics for several years now.

I had surgery on one foot and custom orthotics and was still in terrible pain in both feet.

The Ideal Feet inserts allow me to continue my work as a high school teacher, with NO PAIN. I have recommended them to several teacher friends, who have been extremely pleased as well.
